25th June 2009

This biggest superstar of our time. My heart aches to know that Michael Jackson is no more. One of the most talented people of our time and to die so young at the age of 50. Hearing ''You are not alone" today just makes me want to cry. A voice so divine and moving. Its such a tragedy that someone so talented isn't amidst us. I despise the media for highlighting all the negatives of his life and appreciating him after his death.

I hope all his family members and fans are given the strength to cope through this trying time. Looking at his performances - the energy, passion and life he brought on stage and his videos is just remarkable and he can never be replaced. I salute to the legend, King of Pop - Michael Jackson. May his soul rest in peace. Today is indeed a sad day for all

Barack Obama

Mere words can't express the immense potential of the new president. I guess we all wondered when an intellectual would head this nation. He has truly had a whirlwind of a first day. Thank you Obama for actively pursuing a lot of the promises you made through your campaign -

Day one and the highlights include

Closing of Guantanamo Bay within a year - Closing the site "would further the national security and foreign policy interests of the United States and the interests of justice"

Freezes salaries of some white house aides - He says, if households are tightening their belts then why shouldn't the White House. Also he mentioned how more information about the government must be disclosed and public service shouldn't be privileged!

God bless Obama, for his steps are inspiring and quick......I hope national leaders are inspired or the forthcoming politicians follow his footsteps!!!

Live big! Love life!

Your surroundings determine your mood...well there is a high correlation between the two. if there isn't a study proving it then you will have to take my word for it. Sometimes, its beyond me why people stay at fancy hotels in exotic locations go around the whole city and then crash at night without actually enjoying their stay. I think if you are putting the effort and money to stay in the fancy hotel you might as well spread your holiday a bit longer and enjoy the decor, cuisine and ambience of your room and the various services provided!
I love home decorations - whether its browsing catalogues, surfing the net for images or looking through various stores in places - its so soothing and each time i look at a room that I love I want to live in it! Turns out there are so many rooms and I would have to have a 50 bedroom house for all these plans...but I think 4-5 bedroom house would suffice in the future!

If your surrounded by beautiful things your inevitably calmer, happier and probably live longer hehe! here are some pictures I found you might enjoy. All I want to say is 'Do fuss over what you buy and the effort will be totally worth it'. Have a room for just yourself - your shrine and ultimate solitude, it could be a study or aroma filled entertainment unit with your own snack bar! whatever works for you!
